As the last few months of my career at the university wind down (I will continue to lead CLEAR), I am reminded of the many articles, discussions, and presentations I’ve learned from and in turn have used to teach in my masters and doctoral classes and other organizational workshops. In developing leaders, especially leaders of color (and our allies), I have reminded them that there is often a price to be paid for speaking out…but “speak your truth” anyway.
