CLEAR has been supporting equity in our community through various programs such as the Young Men’s Alliance at Baird Middle School. Through collaboration with administrators at Baird Middle School and under the direction of the CLEAR Executive Director, CLEAR has developed its own middle school mentoring program: The CLEAR Middle School Mentoring Program.

Through academic enrichment opportunities, mentoring and exposure to colleges and universities, the mission of the CLEAR Middle School Mentoring Program is to provide economically and educationally disadvantaged 7th and 8th grade youth with a supportive environment in which they will develop academic, leadership and social-emotional skills that will lead to success in and beyond the classroom. The ultimate goal of the CLEAR Middle School Mentoring Program is to prepare and motivate middle school students to enter high school with the academic, leadership and social-emotional skills necessary to pursue higher education.
